Heaven and hell
How do you know you are in heaven if you don't know what hell looks like.
On the way down south we popped into my mother-in-law's charity projects. The S.H.A.R.E foundation has a number of health centres in Sri Lank,a dealing mainly in community nursing and education for the poor and disadvantaged.

If a picture tells a thousand words then here's a big book of happy stories
Hmmmmm......not much to say about these photos really....except stunning bride and amazing everything....We have to go to bed......exhausted. Lots more to come.
We're married (again!)
So this time (Catholic family ceremony in Colombo) we were more organised.
The Church (All Saints - Borella) was were Rowena's parents were married back in 1973. Between both sets of our parents there is more than 80 years of blissful/ semi-blissful marriage which is quite the bench mark.
Personally I was happy with the welcome a northern heathen like myself was given by the Church. When I was blessed I did not turn into a Catholic pumpkin and nor did my skin melt from my face when the holy water, for the ring blessing, hit it ;)
As we were wrapping up the signing the most torrential rain storm came in but by the time we had reached the end of the church it had stopped.......I guess we got lots more holy water for all mum's (Samarasinhe) prayers over the years.

Everything is ready but nothing is really ready......if you are married already then you must know what that means!
Good morning from SUNNY Sri Lanka. So far the tropical rain and unsettled weather has given way to sunshine and very hot temperatures......whoop whoop. We are all still running. Today is beauty and hair plus a hundred other tasks....aaaahhhhgh.....but well get there. One day until our SECOND wedding. Here we go.

Married already!!!
Did we forget to mention that we got married yesterday! That is probably because we didn't really realise until the day before. Our registration with the local official turned out to be the actual civil ceremony but don't despair we have two more to do before we leave Sri Lanka.....and they are the fun ones.
